West Branch Pond 2008

We had a great trip to West Branch pond this year. We hadn't been since I was pregnant with Ben in 2005. To get to West Branch Pond Camps you have to drive past Greenville and take a right and drive 10 miles on a dirt road. In the pictures below we are at the start of the 10 mile dirt road. Reid and Ben have their PJ's on as we left at 6:15am from our house and we just picked them up out of bed and put them in the car.
I should mention that Tristan didn't come with us this trip, first one he's missed, as he had baseball he didn't want to miss. Reid and Ben couldn't wait to get in the boat and go for a ride with Daddy. The kids were so happy to have Daddy's attention for almost 3 days. There is no cell phones and internet at West Branch Pond!

Can you see the rabbits in the picture below? For those who know West Branch Pond Camps, we stayed in cabin #2 and we saw rabbits outside of cabin #1 every day.

This is just a classic Ben moment. He spilled milk all over himself and he's got his car in front of his face too.
Here is Reid holding a fish, I was surprised it didn't seem to bother her at all to hold it. She was nervous the day before when the fish was flopping around in the boat but she asked to hold it and have her picture taken. We didn't have great fishing but we were able to eat 4-5 fish on this trip.We got a great group photo this year! I got a little tripod as a gift for our camera and this is the first time we've been able to use it and it worked great!

Reid's Pre-K concert

Reid's school has a concert every year for the Pre-K kids. The kids practice most of the year for this concert and they hold it at the high school in the auditorium so it's a very big deal! Reid loves to sing so she has been excited about this concert for quite a while now. She is all dressed up and ready to go in the pictures below.

The concert was packed so we had to sit in the balcony which was a little nerve racking with Ben. This picture is from the balcony and as you can see there are a lot of kids! Reid is on the right hand side, front row, second child in from the right. Here is a mega zoomed in shot so it's not very clear but you can see Reid singing and acting out the song. There is a big space between Reid and Camden (the boy to her right) it's not because they don't like each other it's because the boy who was standing there got upset and went to stand closer to a teacher.
Tristan, Matt, Ben and Grammy in our front row balcony seat.Reid after the concert with her teacher Mrs. Rider to her right and teacher's aide Mrs. Caruso to her left.
It was a fantastic concert and yes I had tears in my eyes! The teachers did a great job pulling this together, Thank You Mrs. Rider and Mrs. Caruso and all the others!!!

G&G Byrd visit and skiing pictures

Grandma and Grandpa Byrd came for a visit at the end of March. We love having them visit! We got Grandpa on snowshoes on a very cold late March day.

Here we all are waiting to take our runs in the Lollipop race. The last race of the year is a combined parent/child race so Matt and I skied the gates too.
Benny-man getting ready for his run, he still skis with the pole. He was able to ski by himself at the end of the ski season but he wasn't able to stop!
T-Byrd ready for his run.And Reid all set for her run too.We came back to South Berwick for the rest of G&G's visit and in the picture below we are having a cake for G&G's 42nd wedding anniversary on April 1st, WOW!Grandpa got to help Reid and Ben blow out the candles several times.Reid on her "new to her" bike. She loves to go for bike rides but she's still pretty cautious on her bike.Benny on his "new to him" bike.

We always enjoy G&G Byrd's visits and are already looking forward to the next one!

Easter weekend 2008

Happy Birthday to me! We celebrated my 34th birthday Easter weekend this year. Nothing really all that exciting except the kids love to blow out the candles so we light up the cake 5 or 6 times for them! Our friends Eric and Mildred came for a visit over Easter weekend and below is a picture of Eric and I after a great snowshoe to rock pond and midway pond. Reid went with us for a short distance and then returned to the condo and Matt caught up with Eric and I at rock pond.Easter morning! I don't have any real good pictures from Easter morning but thought I should put a few up. Reid was very excited to find the movie Enchanted in her basket.

Benny is eating some chocolate and checking out the new Thomas the Tank Engine leapster game he got.
Reid is playing with some toys she had in her basket.

Reid and I took time to read her new book, a Sesame Street story and cookbook.
Matt and Reid resting after some good skiing!

New Years Eve 2007

Christmas morning 2007

Merry Christmas 2007! Tristan with a big smile on his face as he tries out his new scooter.

Benny with a huge smile on his face as he finds his Thomas the Tank Engine train set.
Where's Reid's smile? I'm not sure why she has such a grumpy look on her face, I don't remember her being grumpy Christmas morning? She's trying out her new shopping cart.
Tristan in his new Ellsbury shirt. This present came with a tickets to a Yankee's vs. Red Sox game at Fenway park, of course Matt and I are going too!

Tristan was quite happy with his cell phone too, I'm not sure I've ever seen Tristan so happy on Christmas!

We had a great day and had lots of fun together as a family. Pops and Grammy were with us and we spent time with Julie, Matt, Chase and Aunt Glady too. We did come home for dinner again as we love to have leftovers!
