Reid's 4th Birthday Party

Reid was very excited to have a real birthday party this year. She invited a few of her friends and we had food, drinks and games. The kids started with Hullabaloo out on the porch. Tristan, Matty and Isabelle are in the first picture below.

Reid with Anna in the background. Reid is celebrating something from Hullabaloo!Anna and Amelie chowing down on some of the food at the bar. Pops and Anna's mother are in the background. We all went outside for the Pinata. In the picture below are Isabelle, Matty, Anna, Amelie, Nicole, Reid and Tristan in the back.
Reid got to take the first swing with her big brother Tristan's bat. Rusty, Grammy, Megan, pops and Robyn in the background. Daddy is holding the rope tied to the pinata.
Anna gets a turn, great swing Anna! After all the little ones had a shot it was Tristan's turn. Matt pulled the rope on the pinata his first swing so he missed! Tristan got a good swing the second time and knocked the head right off! You can see Megan in the background protecting herself.Matt held the pinata so all the kids could pull the strings and finally get the candy out.

We all gathered in our dining room for cake and presents. Well actually it wasn't cake it was brownies as Reid doesn't really care for cake. Reid had lots of help blowing out the candles!Benny-man was napping during the beginning of the party but was up for the brownies! YUM!The kids were trying to play Whac-a-mole, I'm not sure they ever figured it out.

Happy Birthday Reid!

Reid's first day of school/Pre-K

As I mentioned in the previous post Reid had her first day of school the Thursday after Labor Day this year while Grandpa and Grandma Byrd were visiting. Here's a picture of the bus to drop off Reid on her first day of school.

She was very excited when she saw us out the window, she was sitting in the very first row and you can see the window in the picture below. She was waving and all smiles. She didn't want to get off the bus as she was having too much fun!
There were quite a few people waiting for Reid to get off the bus on her first day. Grandpa Byrd, Pops, Grammy, Matt and I were all there as well as our neighbors Debbie and Ally. Reid gave all of us big hugs and seemed very happy about her first day of school.
