Happy Birthday Reid!

Reid turned 3 years old September 19th! This picture is taken in the dining room in our house and Matt, Grammy, Tristan, Ben and I were there to help her celebrate. Reid loves to eat frosting and usually gets all of it off the cupcake and asks for more frosting without eating the cupcake!

We also celebrated with Pops and Mammy in West Gardiner before her actual B-day. We had a dual celebration as Mammy's birthday is just a few days before Reids. Reid is taking the candles off the cake with Mammy in this picture.

London and Rome vacation 2006

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. We were in London first for the Data Connection (Matt's company) meeting. We went out to a club the night before we were going to Rome and got very little sleep. The first night we were in Rome we went on a private tour of the Sistine Chapel and had dinner in a piazza with the company. Saturday we relaxed by the pool to rest up for the party that night. Here we are all dressed up for the black tie event. There is a beautiful view of Rome behind us but it's hard to see it in this picture. We started the evening with cocktails outside then to the ballroom for dinner and entertainment. The entertainment was two opera singers and the band Bjorn Again. I like Abba but I was so surprised by how much everyone from England freaked out when Bjorn Again came on stage.

Here I am in front of Coliseum. We walked around Rome to see a few sights we wanted to see again and to have lunch near the Pantheon on Sunday. We then headed back to London for a few days by ourselves. We went to dinner at an Indian restaurant twice and a Thai restaurant once in London. I really loved the Indian restaurant which is why we went two times.

We walked around London to see a few things and the picture below is Matt while we are on the London Eye, this big ferris wheel like thing that gives you great views of London. We also celebrated our anniversary by going to see Chicago the musical. We had a wonderful time together but were also very happy to get home and see the kids. My dad was also very happy to have us home as he watched the kids all week for us!

Family Vacation Lakes 2006

We had a wonderful family vacation this year up at the lakes. We've been saying for years that we should just take a full week during August and go to West Gardiner and Belgrade to enjoy the lakes and we finally did it this year! Ben is helping himself to Daddy's favorite drink, Jack and Coke! I put this picture up here for you Kelly!

Reid is able to ride her bike all by herself, if it is a flat surface! She still needs lots of help on hills but she is doing really good.

Tristan and Reid had a lot of fun building forts. They are wearing their helmets in this picture.

Matt and Pops worked hard taking down the 2 trees that had taken over the road side of the house, and Pops and Erin cleaned out the upstairs in the garage. We finally got rid of all the "stuff" Pops had been holding on to for 20 years! All in all a great vacation had by all.
